Meta is pleased to announce the hire of Kevin Mitchell, a highly recognized Client Executive with a successful career spanning 40+ years. Kevin’s experience with Oracle customers, sales, and his passion for delivery excellence makes him an excellent complement to the Meta team.
Kevin began his career in 1980 with Burroughs Corporation as a sales executive for large named accounts in Florida. He was responsible for mainframe computer and consulting sales for Disney, Carnival Cruise, Home Shopping Network, Barnett Bank, and the State of Florida. In 1987, Burroughs Corporation merged with Sperry Univac to form Unisys. During his first tour with Unisys, he held progressively greater job responsibilities beginning at Zone Sales Manager to Vice President Operations US. In 1999 he was part of a group of entrepreneurs who formed PowerCerv Corporation where they developed and sold a PowerBuilder based application solution for discrete manufacturing. The management team took the company public in 2000 raising $50M in capital to fund applications development and expand operations. He returned to Unisys in 2003 to take responsibility for Sales Operations Management in Unisys Worldwide Public Sector Division. In 2006, he was hired into Oracle Corporation in applications sales for FL/GA/SC/TN where he achieved a status as one of the top sales representatives in public sector applications sales until his retirement in May 2023.
In line with Meta’s community giving back program, Kevin is an officer in the New World Celts Dunedin Chapter, a 501c3 charity organization that supports the local Scottish Heritage Society and provides money to support the local high schools’ pipe and drum band.
